I saw a conversation about this and have the problem of air outlet actuator. Clicking sound when mode is on foot area, dash and defrost both work. I have removed the panel beside the gas pedal and see the problem actuator. Wondering what all is involved in removing that part. I see the plug and I believe 3 screws.

Sounds like you have already done the hard work. You just unplug it and remove the screws and install the new one. Here is a guide that helps with replacing these. Even though this says blend door, the process is the same for any of the actuators.
