Replaced my rear driver side wheel bearing. I inspected the axle and housing for any damage but saw none. Once I took it on a test drive the new bearing failed within five miles. Not sure why it has failed.

Replaced the passengers side also and it is just fine.

Good evening,

Do you have the bearing that presses into the housing or is it pressed on the axle?

What do you mean by failed?

It presses onto the housing, and failed meaning completely destroyed. Bearings where all laying inside the housing and the metal was broken into at least 3 parts.

Check for a bent axle. There is too much stress on the bearing.
