My rear intake heater hose pipe broke flush at the intake. Do I need it or can I just tap it in plug? My heater core failed so I bypassed it.

Guess you could tap into it if you can find one for that size and it is not plastic. If plastic you will have to replace it which may mean the whole manifold.

Okay, but do I need to have that pipe for the heater core or might as well plug it if my heater core is bypassed? Thanks.

You need it because one of the hoses to the radiator connects to it.
