Rear end vibration

The rear of my car vibrates like I’m hitting tiny rock or bumps in the road. I have replaced axles, bearings, fluid, brakes, and wheels. It rocks up and down at slow speeds, and the parking shoes act like there is a high spot in the rotor when spinning it by hand.

I checked the rear rotors and they are true, I replaced the air bags with coil springs. It still makes the same vibration. Could it feel like the rear if the front rotors were out of round.

Did you remove the driveshaft and make sure the U joints are not seized?

It looks like my new axle is bent. I saw movement in the driver rear wheel when I jacked the car up and put in drive. I took the wheel off and still saw the wobble in the hat of the rotor.

Okay, it could be the flange is bent at the end of the axle.

If you remove it, roll it across the floor and if it is bent, it will not roll evenly.

What else could make it look like a bent axle? The rear rotors have been trued.

I’ll try to take a video of them, I just swapped out the axles this morning and it seems better but still does it.

That was the next thing. If you have a driveshaft out of balance, it would do it.

Remove the driveshaft and make sure the U joints are free to move.

The first 2 are good.

The driveshaft is balanced, the only thing left I can really think of is the differential carrier or axle tubes.

And one of the u-joints was a little difficult to move, so I replaced it and had it checked and it balanced out.

Looks like it is the housing itself. Very rare that is a failure unless there was an impact.

Could the spider gears cause a hop? I noticed on the videos I took of the wheels they both would hop once per revolution or couple revolutions. The passenger side seems to do it more frequently.

It could be bearings in the differential. I doubt the spiders as they would make a lot of noise.
