Why does my new radio turn on and off on and off?

What was the supplier or model of the radio that you installed? The only reason it would turn on and off would be it is loosing power or the radio has an issue internally.

Did your system have an amp from the factory or no amp?

Also, did they provide a wiring diagram with their installation instructions?

Below is a close up of the wiring diagram for the radio. if this highlighted red wire is taking power away then we need to find out why that fuse is not supplying consistent power. However I would think the new radio is the issue or the installation if the old radio did not do this.

Have you rechecked the connections, power supply, and the ground? Is the replacement radio a factory radio or something aftermarket?
