Hi Phil. You had the same problem with your Corvette. Same year as mine, same exact problems as mine! How did you resolve your intermittent non starting issue, and also you had a slight drain on your battery? What circuit was draining your battery? Please let me know how you resolved these issues, so I can fix my corvette starting issues.

I am not sure who Phil is, but I will help you fix the problem. When these types of battery draw occur check the tape deck to make sure it is not trying to eject the tape (stuck). Also check the door lock switch and seat switches, these will cause the battery to drain down. Please check over this guide to see what I am talking about:

Please go over this guide and report back.

Well, my main concern is the intermittent starting. There was a thread and “Phil” was having the same problems as I. My main problem is the car not starting; all the dash lights light up, but the starter does not make a sound. 50% of the time it will start and 50% it won’t. If you research 87 Corvette not starting, you’ll see the thread. But there was no final resolution printed under 2CarPros. I am trying to find out what the resolution was, since I am having the two same problems as Phil.

I see, 9 times out of 10 it will be the starter motor, but I have seen starter relays or neutral safety switch cause a problem as well.

Here is the starter not working guide to test for power so you can see where the power is being lost:

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
