I had front end work done ball joints tie rods power steering pump rack and pinion and alignment are the things I paid to have maintenance preformed on. After the shop doing this returned my vehicle needless to say I don't believe for whatever reason that things were not followed correctly throughout the replacement and installation. Another lesson learned the hard way. I have replaced both cv axles also which didn't fix the original problem being that when I would make left hands turn my steering felt as if it were binding up and the wheel felt like it would stick quickly but long enough to worry me. Another shop looked my vehicle over after the axle's replacement didn't fix it and came up with the most recent repairs of the rack and other steering components.
My power steering pumps continue to fail. And it's hard for me to believe I keep getting defective pumps every trip to the auto store. Is there any way to diagnose the issue causing the pump to fail without replacement of all the major parts?
