Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com

If no fluid was lost, the belt is still rotating the pump, and there are no noises coming from the pump, I suspect the electronic power steering pressure control valve may have been damaged or disconnected. The component is located on the left side of the engine compartment on the wiring harness. It will be a six pin plug (gray) plugged into the valve. Check that first and let me know what you find. Also, if there are any details you can add, it may be helpful. For example, what side of the car was hit, if you have checked fluid. The pump itself is under the right side fender trim and somewhat accessible to damage in a passenger side impact. I attached a picture so you can locate the fender trim under which the pump itself is located. Remove the trim and inspect hoses to make sure nothing was damaged as well as any other item related to the pump.

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have other questions or can supply more information.

Take care,
Joe
