I just had the rear CV axles replace. Pepboys says my rear shocks are bad. Can that cause the noise i am hearing?

Hi,

When you hear the noise, does it change with the speed of the vehicle? In other words, does the sound speed up and the wheels spin faster? I'm asking because shocks could make noise over a bump, but usually not when backing up or turning. Also, if you apply the brakes does the sound stop or change?

Is the sound loud enough that you could record it and upload it for me to hear? Also, were the CV axles replaced because of this noise, and are you certain it is the rear?

Let me know.
