Here the deal. 1994 transport 3800 V6 140k miles. Check engine light stays on, had it checked by dealer and 3 other mechanics. Seems that I have an issue with camshaft sensor. Mechanic from dealership says its cam shaft sensor or igition module. I have replaced ignition module once and I have tried 4 diffrent camshaft sensors. It will not run past 4000 rpm either it starts cutting out when it hits 4k RPM.

Is it possible that there is a wire broken or maybe something attached to timing gear that isnt sending signal or? Problem is after I get the PCM reset at the dealer it will run fun for a while, then after a week or 2 it starts quitting on me again. Also, I replaced fuel pump 3 times and relay and installed a new strainer. And when the van warms up it runs like crap (separate issue I think), it started that after I replaced the TPS. I think I may have torn up my MAF unit not sure. Anyway the camshaft sensor has been the main problem before anything else.

HELP!

Thanks

Hey I have the same problem. I took it to a repair shop and they still after many replaced parts can't figure it out. (Replaced) Mass air flow, plugs & wires, pulled fuse on crusise control wich fixed broken oil pressor gage, and I am still tring. I was told maybe oxygen sensor. I havent tried because I was told there was two by one person and one be another. I was wondering if u have figured it out yet. Please if u find out let me know.
