How do I remove the fuel filter? This filter has a "quick release" coupler on the input side from the tank but it does not look like the plastic fitting shown in the manual and also is not exactly like the metal fitting shown in the manual. It somewhat like the metal connector except that it has a plastic collar with four segments surrounding the metal bell part, but nothing to push in to release any tabs, etc. There is not enough room between the filter and the coupler to get in a cylindrical tool to release any internal tabs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it has a plastic collar you dont need any tools for it.You push the line towards the filter and pull plastic collar back away fromt the filter and into the line to release the clips. If it is the metal type then you need to have a release tool like the one I showed in the picture below.
