we replaced the starter and when everything was reconnected the ani-theft system kicked in and wouldnt let us start it . We tried what the person at the 800 number in the manual said which was leave the car in the on position without starting for 10 min then turning it off and trying to start it . we tried what the guy at the auto parts store said which was disconnecting the negative on the battery for 5 minutes and as soon as we touched the post again crank the engine . we do not have the money to take it in to the dealership so they can reset the comp and we dont know what else we can do . Thanks .

they only thing you really can do is take it in and have them reset the computer, as far as I know, you dont have to neccesarcy take it to the dealership, there are other " small shops" that should have the same eqimpment as the dealership and they shouldnt charge as much, allthough the dealerships computer is alwasy better.
