Hello,
Does it shake when you hit the brake or does it shake as you drive down the road?
It could be due to worn out suspension components like ball joints or it could be due to wrapper brake rotors.
Over time the suspension components will wear off. Specially the rubber bushings. That will create excessive movement when you drive or apply the brake. That will translate into a vibration that you feel.
Inspect the suspension components. Check for loose or damaged parts. Take a close look a the ball joints and control arm bushings. If there is excessive play they need to be replaced.

If the brake rotors get wrapped you could also have vibration while you depress the brake. The rotors can wrap simply because of usage as they get old or they can wrap if they are bellow the minimum thickness.
If there is sufficient thickness to the rotors then they can be resurfaced. Typically that can be done at your local auto parts store.
Regardless of you you resurface the rotors or replace them, it is recommended to change the brake pads.
