My grand prix starts and runs fine but after a few seconds the steering locks up and engine shuts down. The oil light comes on when it is about to shut down. And the speedometer does a little twitch thing before it dies. I have no clue what the problem is. Someone PLEASE help

Hello, Have you done any basic testing? Any trouble codes? How long since a tune-up? Put a fuel pressure gage on it, after it dies, see if you still have pressure?

Jdl123 Need you start every reply you make with an insulting remark such as hello. Because if this is the case, please stop replying, not everyone works in the automotive industry.
As for the problem at hand, I really doubt the fuel pressure. The twicting of the speedo and cutoff after running seems more eletrical. Likely suspects are the ignition module or crankshaft sensor, both common issues in thes cars, both likely to act up more when hot, then when cold

Thanks for the reply, I won't bother you anymore. Have a good day. I just wanted to add, It wasn't my intention to insult you, some of the people that come here, don't know the basics. I always start with the basics.

It would appear that I simply took your opening statement the wrong way. I don't doubt now that it was not intended to be insulting. My apologies, keep up the good work
