1992 Pontiac Grand Prix car stalls

1992 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The car stalls from time to time, once you start it back up and put it in gear it stalls. After a few trys it starts and drives fine. Any help?

Hi, how long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Around here, some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one.

The car only has 38k miles and I just changed plugs wires was fine changed oil, fliter, but not fuel filter. So maybe just a clogged fuel filter?

If it only stalls at idle, might be, idle air system needs cleaning.
