I have 1995 Grand Am with a quad 4 engine. It has 110'000 miles on it. A few months ago I replaced the coils, plugs and the coil housing. It was running great. The other day it started to miss and run rough. I checked the plugs and they are burning black. You can also smell gas like it is loading up. IA few people told me it could be the egr valve or the pressure regulator putting to much fuel into the cylinders any ideas would be great.

Good place to start
Fuel pressure regulator and the EGR
