V-6 ram air when going up a hill of any size the vechile slows way down, loss about 15 miles a hour. Even if padel is to the floor, this started when service engine soon light came on. I took it to a repair shop, they told me it is the cal. Convertor that needs replace because it is clogged, and the EGR value will also need to be replaced. The tail pipes at touch are hot and have some exhaust coming out. If it was clogged I would think there wouldn't be any. On about a 85 mile trip to and from work I use about 1/4 of tank of gas.

Some exhaust can get out and it is still tehcat that is the problem. Try loosening the exhaust pipe before the cat and drive it. It will be loud, but if the cat is the problem it will have power again. This can also cause EGR problems and low mileage. Do the cat before messing with the EGR issues
