When accelerating the car hesitates. This occurs at any time of day, doesn't matter if the engine is cold of hot, 1st thing in the morning and after work. Doesn't matter if I'm driving 20 or 60 mph.

When I press the gas it hesitates and bucks, especially on inclines.

The plugs and wires have been replaced. What could it be? I've been told it's not the torque converter or the transmission. I've also been told it's the harmonic balancer.

What else could be causing this?

That doesn't sound like a trans problem. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked the catylatic converter for plugging? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

No, no check engine light. But, haven't checked cat converter. Recently replaced the fuel pump. (Pressure was bad and car wouldn't start.)

Check the cataylatic converter and let me know what you find.

Checked the cat convertor, no luck. New harmonic balancer installed, no luck.

It's still 'pulling' when I accelerate. It 'feels' like it's gasping for air when it pulls, if that helps.
