2000 Pontiac Grand Am Car died

My girlfriend was driving when the car lost power. It died. When she stopped and tried to restart it, It shook violently and died. Now it wont start at all. Just turn over. Fuel Pump?

Did the SES (Service Engine Soon) light come on? There are several possibilities. It would be helpful to know any hard codes that are present.

Have you checked for spark? When was the last fuel filter installed? Did the vehicle receive its 100k tune-up?

Give me as much history/info as possible.
