I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am with almost 130000 miles that cuts off in the middle of driving. I turn the ignition off and back on and it starts right up. What can this be

Could be an ignition module, crank sensor, cam sensor. Almost any sensor can cause that. Is the check engine light on? I would start by having it scanned (PCM) for trouble codes, this may give us a direction to start in

None of the lights on the dash board come on. I do know that the RPM does not stay reved, I think that is how you say it: It seems like it wants to stall or stay below 1.

Have it scanned for codes. Get back with the exact code/codes, Also have a fuel pressure test done
