1999 Pontiac Grand Am Car keeps cutting off

Ok at first someone put a payday in my tank. Then I got everything fixed, but now I can drive it an it's like once you drive for so long it starts cutting off especially when your in traffic or a stop light. I changed the fuel filter an it still does it do you think I need to change the fuel pump

Hi, First Thing I'd Do Is Have The Computer checked For Codes. Write them Down And come back here. I'd Also have The Battery And charging System checked. And Have The Fuel pressure Checked also.
