Blew up the 2.4l engine in 97 grand am, do not want to go back to this piece of crap. Have 96 3.1l complete car is engine swap possible!

Maybe...

plan on doing a lot of homework first. Things that will likley have to be changed are pcm and maybe bcm. The wiring harness will probably not work and need modification. You may get down to the end as one fella did after he swapped out a saturn engine with another to find out there was one sensor that required a two wire connector that his harness did not have and the particular sensor was not interchangeable with one that could fit a two wire one.

Either get a reman 2.4 or used one and drive it or sell it. You may end up owning an expensive
