I need to change a starter on my mother-in-law's 1992 Bonneville SE, 3.8 L V-6, with 100,000 milles. I have never done one on a transverse mounted engine. Where do I start?

Lets see if we can get ya through this.....

1. Start by disconnecting the negitive battery cable.

2. Then from under the car remove the 10mm bolt that holds the flywheel inspection cover on.

3. Then remove the two bolts that hold the starter to the block.

4. Remove the two wires going to the starter and you should be able to tilt it down and out.

reverse the steps above for instalation...
