1995 Pontiac Bonneville Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my son came home and complained that he couldn't steer and stop the car well. We took off the wheel and we were able to wabble the rotar back and forth and it was very hot. Is this the cv joint and can we replace it or is it something else and we should take it in? This is the front passanger side.

Hello,

It sounds more like the Bearings than the CV Axle. The Hub Bearing is bolt on so you should be able to handle the repair.
