Loosen the hub nut 1/2 turn with the wheel still attached and firmly on the ground. If it's being stubborn spray on some PB Blaster and use a breaker bar. If you find yourself still struggling, don't force it and get stripped threads, just be patient and apply more PB (make sure to allow it enough time to penetrate in and tap the hub nut lightly w/ a hammer/wrench/hard chunk of metal/whatever to help along)

Once you have your 1/2 turn, raise the car and remove the wheel. Get a pry bar and wedge it between the brake caliper and wheel lugs to keep the hub from turning. Too much pressure on the lugs could bend the threads to be careful (although the 1/2 turn and PB should have made it somewhat cooperative at this point).

Voila! Your wheel hub is free (kinda, you'll probably need a puller to push the driveaxle out of the hub) You got a fun job ahead of you. 16-year-old suspension/driveaxles are no joke. I'm in the process of revamping the suspension on my '94 (I'm an engine/transmission guy, I HATE suspension :b)

hope that helps,
munkie
