Some are Vacuum controlled and some by a small flat motor on the side of the plenium. Good luck

Suggested Repair

Inspect the front blend door. It may be vacuum-controlled or driven by a small flat motor on the side of the plenum; check the related vacuum hoses or actuator.

Conversation Summary

A 1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager with about 280,000 miles blows heat from the rear vents but only cold air from the front vents and defroster. The owner had already replaced the head gasket and thermostat and bled the cooling system, and asked whether the heater core was bad. The expert said the front blend door is the likely problem and noted that blend doors are either vacuum-controlled or operated by a small motor on the side of the plenum.
