I have a 1997 Grand Voyager with the 3.3 ltr. Engine
The van has 108k miles and has always been a pretty good ride. That was until a week ago. First, The transmission acted strangely. It acted strained and shifted back and forth. I spoke with a friend who indicated it was running in "limp" mode and I needed to get it looked at. When I went to take it in to the shop, it would not start. Everything works normally when you turn the key except the engine will not turn over. I checked the relay under the hood and verified it was being energized. I also left the ignition key on and jumped the starter to see if I could get it to run. It turned over manually, but it would not start. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks

I swapped the start relay in the power distribution center with another and it clicked when I tried the key. I haven't checked the solenoid wire at the starter with key on, due to lack of an assistant, I did jump it across the battery lead to the solenoid and got the engine to turn over but would not fire.
