1999 Plymouth Voyager will not crank just turns over

1999 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

driving down the highway motor shut off. so i pulled over and the vans has not run since, will turn over but wont crank and fuel seems to be getting past all filters.Someone have a suggestion for me before the wife tries to fix it herself???

Hi, cranking is starter action. Your saying it cranks good but won't start? Have helper crank it, while visually check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any applicable trouble codes? Let us know what you find.

my brother seems to think it could be a timing problem is this true?????
