Transmission problem
1997 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My son and I just finished rebuilding the 3.0L V6 engine and transaxle. We are driving the car but need to correctly adjust the throtlle linkage that connects to the transaxle. Our Haynes or ATSG manuals have nothing on adjusting this linkage bar. Do you have a schematic showing the linkage bar assembly and how to adjust it?

THROTTLE PRESSURE LINKAGE
31TH Transaxle
Drive vehicle until engine is at normal operating temperature.
Loosen swivel lock screw on throttle pressure linkage.
Ensure swivel on throttle pressure linkage slides freely along flat surface on throttle pressure linkage.
If swivel slides freely, go to next step.
If swivel fails to slide freely, it may be necessary to clean or repair swivel.
Hold throttle valve lever on transaxle firmly toward engine.
Tighten swivel lock screw to specification.
Release throttle valve. Adjustment is complete. Linkage backlash is automatically removed by preload spring.

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate it!

Is there any schematic showing this linkage assembly? I need to be sure that everything is in its proper configuration before adjusting the swivel nut. Right now there is a spring, on the linkage, that bears against the swivel nut. Once the swivel nut gets tightened, the spring is non-functional.
