1995 Plymouth Voyager Oil Pressure Gauge

When I put on the gas the oil pressure gauge goes up close to H but not into H. When I let off the gas it goes back to normal. Is this normal or could there be a problem with the oil sending unit or something else?

Do you have any type of engine knocking noises if not check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings
