1992 Plymouth Sundance the engine cuts off while driving

the car runs real smooth but after driving for about 15-20 mins while in motion like on the highway the car shuts off I have to coast over to the shoulder and wait about a 1/2 hur before I can start my car again.

Why would it shut off?

It could be a few things. When you have this problem, you need to check if the engine is getting spark and fuel. Here are the how to's for checking. Check it and let me know which one is missing.
