Engine Performance problem
1999 Other Plymouth Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The car occasionally throws a misfire code. Now my code reader won't erase it for some reason. Is there a fuse I can pull or do I have to unhook the battery to drain the memory? There was a fuse you could pull on my old '95 neon SOHC but the 99 isn't laid out quite the same way. Don't seem to have a misfire anyway.
Thanks!

Dodges are odd ducks and sometimes my scanner has a hard time erasing. What I do is turn key from on to off then on again while erasing, your code reader will erase them you just need the rigfht combination, try car running etc.

I ended up pulling the fuel pump fuse to blank the pcm. Whatever works works.

I think what causes the misfire code is punching the gas pedal while starting the engine. Have to remember to keep my foot off it. Too used to starting my Saturn that way. Thanks for the help!
