Transmission problem
1995 Other Plymouth Models 4 cyl Automatic

why would a trans service make the trans not work ( like go into gear from a stop?)

Couple reasons. Not enough or wrong fluid.

There was already a problem present that was a breath away from happening, and the service pushed the weak link over the edge. That's why there are times when going in to a transmission to replace one wear part is not always possible as there are enough other wear parts that are borderline or bad once it is opened up resulting in a rebuild.
