tranny issues

I have a 1992 plymouth laser rs turbo awd and the transmission is shot. i know the transmission of this car has 3 different spline number's per axle 21 22 and 23. i have a friend who has a 1990 eagle talon turbo awd, if the transmiisoins have the same number of splines can i swap the transmissions?
