To get to the battery first turn the steering wheel as far as you can to the left. In front of the RF tire in the wheel-well is a plastic cover with 5 tabs across the top and side. Turn these 1/4 turn to the left, and the panel pulls off. Use a 1/2 inch socket to remove the battery mount/hold down. It would be best to remove the top bolt first. Then use a 5/16 inch socket to remove the front mount battery cables, and the battery will slide right out. You may have to lift the car a bit to get the battery out.
