Noises problem
1998 Peugeot 206 Front Wheel Drive Manual 83000 miles

I have recently had new disc brakes and pads fitted, but my car is squeaking/squeeling when in motion. This noise stops when the brakes are applied. So I prosume that this is something to do with the brakes? Could it be that the garage has not fitted the pad/discs correctly? Or do they just take a while to 'wear in'?

Or could it be due to something completely un-related like a wheel bearing or fan belt?

Any help would be geatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Confused motorist

New pads and disc's need to bed together. Use on light braking for a few days and the noise should disappear. Let me know

Hi there,

Many thanks for your help. This noise has been like this for a couple of months now. Do you think it could be anything else. Its in for its MOT in a few days anyways, so i'm sure it will all be revealed.

The noise is however strating to irritate me! :O(
