Replaced steering column now car will not stay running

After changing steering column. Security light is on. Car starts but shuts off after five seconds.

Welcome to 2CarPros. That is a common issue of an immobilizer activation. You will need to have either a well equipped shop or a dealer re-flash the transponder module in the replacement steering column so that the module is recognized and then the keys will need to be initialized as well. That would need to be done even if you replaced the ignition tumbler with the original to keep the old keys.

I was told the passkey antenna can only be programmed one time to one car.

Not that I'm aware of. You do need a scan tool to initiate the programming but I don't know of a limit on the module. Don't see anything warning about it in the service information either.
