A friend jumped my daughters car, it started and ran, then she noticed the fuel gauge was not working correctly and the speedometer was stuck on 70 mph. So we replaced the speedometer and fuel gauge all is good with that now. The car will start and run then shut off it seems like after getting hot it will start after sitting. We replaced crank sensor then coil tower and control module, still nothing. Any ideas out there that could help me where to go next? We are going to get another computer brain Friday and check to see if it does anything. We are showing no codes also.
Help please!

Have the fuel pressure checked. Get a technician (or yourself) to drive the car with the fuel gauge attached to see if the fuel pressure drops after the engine gets hot (after driving thirty minutes or so). If this is the case then the fuel pump is weak and failing after it runs and heats up for a while.

Hey Nick,

Please start the engine, then open the power distribution center under the hood and wiggle each one of the fuses and relays, We are looking for a bad connection that presents itself once it gets hot.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken
