Parking brake light stays on while engine is running in instument cluster

I have 2000 chevy monte carlo. Instrument cluster recently replaced because mileage light was not working.
since the instrument cluster has been replaced the parking brake light stays on, but it only does it when key is in the on or start position. In the acc position the parking brake light works with the parking brake like it supposed to. It goes off an on when parking brake is applied in acc position. What could cause this problem.

Recheck the wiring to the cluster to make sure there are no shorts to power.

When I first purchased the new cluster an installed it the brake light came on. So I went back to my dealer with the problem an they ordered me another cluster an the same problem was there. Re-connected several times still experiencing the same thing. So what other options do I have.

Have you checked to make sure the master cylinder isn't low on fluid? Have you checked the MC level sensor?

Master cylinder sensor had broken but has been replaced an brake fluid level is good. Any other suggestions to my problem.
