parking brake will not release?

parking brake not releasing.

So, can you feel the e brake hold mechanism release when you pull the release lever, and the car doesn't move? or the e brake mechanism does not release when you pull the level, we need more information than what you have given? Here is a diagrams of the parking brake and you can see the cable that releases the system you may need to work it manually. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
