We had our clutch replaced about 3 weeks ago and the truck has run fine until now. We are needing a new AC compressor but I don't think that has anything to do with the new problem. The last 2 days the truck battery dies when not running. After jumping it today, when I removed the jumper cables the engine ran while the "rpm" meter jumpped up and down a bit. The milage reading said I was going 20 mph while standing still. I pressed in the clutch, put the truck in gear all with no problems but when I released the e-break the engine died immediately and will not restart without another jump. I did this 2 times to make sure what was happening. Any idea why this would be happening?
I FOUND THE ANSWER! MY SON REALIZED THAT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE HAD COME LOOSE AND WHEN WE CHARGED IT, IT WIGGLED BACK INTO PLACE BUT THE JARRING OF THE E-BRAKE RELEASE WOULD KNOCK IT LOOSE AGAIN. THANK YOU ANYWAY ! YOU HAVE A GREAT SERVICE HERE!
