I just bought this truck It's overheating, pegging the temperature gauge quickly. Code said faulty coolant temperature sensor and misfire on cylinder #3. I have used radiator flush to clean out the system twice (just in case).I replaced the thermostat and replaced the coolant and restarted, the gauge pegged again quickly. Next step coil pack and spark plug and coolant sensor. Not having any experience with this motor could you perhaps detail the procedure for plug and coil replacement and perhaps an exploded view of the sensor location? I have seen some diagrams that were so tiny and trying to show every sensor that it's all blurry. I'm try to do this on a tablet and my vision is not the best in any case. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Let's take a step back and start with what code you are getting for the temperature sensor. If the gauge is pegging when you first start the engine then I suspect this is a sensor or other electrical issue because it takes about 5-7 minutes to get up to operating temperatures. So if it jumps immediately then that takes us the electrical side.

Let us know what the code is and we can go from there. Thanks
