Overheating at idle is a constant problem

I have had car for two years. It will act up at times and happen every time I drive then it will stop happening for months. I have had the thermostat replaced and had the car looked at several times. The only thing I notice is after it overheats and I shut the car off the fans (I’m assuming) are very loud and remain on for a while after car is off.

Good afternoon,

Are there any codes stored in the system?

How old is the coolant? If you have the wrong mixture, it will do this.

Does it cool right off when you go above idle?

Has the water pump been checked for flow?
