Overheating

My wife’s truck was overheating so I thought it might be the thermostat so I replaced it, but after she drove it the next morning to work it began to overheat again. Any thing else I should check that could possibly cause it to overheat?

Hello,

If the coolant is full i would drain a little out and then test it for a blown head gasket which these vans had a problem with.

I checked it out there were no signs of blown head gasket. Is there anything else that you think it could be?

When the engine is overheating do you here the clutch fan kick on it should sounds like an airplane taking off next to you. If not the fan clutch is bad nit pulling air through the radiator.

So I replaced the fan clutch and it still overheated so I also decided to replaced the radiator cap and it stopped overheating thank you for your help

Back to head gasket did you do the chemical test? A head gasket can be blown even though there is no coolant in the oil.
