Overheated now will not start

Will not start after it quit running.

HI and thanks for using 2CarPros.

When the starter engages and turns the engine, does it sound normal or like it is turning faster or unevenly?

Also, spark and fuel have to be present. Take a look through this link.

Also, how badly was it overheated? There could be damage to the engine or you could have blown a head gasket. If the engine cranks faster or unevenly, you will need to check engine compression. Here is a link that shows in general how it is done:

The compression should be over 100psi and the lowest should not be more than 20% lower.

Do this and let me know what you find. Also, let me know what it sounds like when cranking.
