Overheating

While driving I noticed my temperature needle start to rise. That is when the weird reaction starts, transmission feels like it down shifted to overdrive or the brakes gripping and not releasing because the car would slow down itself and come to a complete stop without me pressing the brake. I changed water pump, thermostat thinking of overheating. Changed front rotors and pad, passenger side caliper, thinking that is why it is sticking. No luck, same result. Not sure what issue could be. Please help.

That is interesting for sure. Lets start by running the codes to see what comes up then I can help you go from there.

Here is a guide to help you get started:

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

First I would like to thank you for your response. I am sorry also for my late response. As for as the codes go, my check engine light never comes on during the episodes. I wish it would have, it would make it easier to pinpoint. I did run a scanner on it anyways but no luck. I was thinking of just taking it to Aamco transmission (here in the west coast) to let them do a diagnostic test for I think $130.00 on it to pinpoint it for me?

Even if the light is not on it can still have a pending code which will help us. You can get a simply code reader from Amazon from $19.00 so we can have an idea ourselves.

Thanks again Ken for your help. It may be a week before I respond back with any results. At the current moment I am working out of town and away from home. If it would be okay with you, if I could contact you after I get everything going?
