Hello,

This could be a problem with your thermostat. Your vehicle uses its thermostat to maintain a certain temperature to keep its engine running properly and to provide heat for the heater and defroster. It does this by acting like a doorway that opens when the coolant in your vehicle's cooling system reaches a certain temperature. Thermostats can be designed to open when coolant reaches temperatures from anywhere from 150 degrees all the way up 195 degrees or more. Each vehicle manufacturer's engineers determine what the proper opening temperature should be for the vehicle. I have included the specs on your vehicle's thermostat in the diagrams down below.
