I was having some transmission issues and took it in to have it diagnosed. I was told I needed a new transmission. So, I am doing it myself. I was going to change out the radiator and the 2 transmission lines since there were metal shavings. Anything else I should work on or change while everything is torn apart? Some hard to get to component? This is my first car that is listed above. so I'm not familiar with it.

Good evening,

I would replace the rear main oil seal while you have the transmission out. It is a matter of removing the flywheel bolts and the seal is right there.

Replace the transmission mount as well.

The torque converter.

Check the universal joints in the driveshaft for any play or stiff moving.

The transfer case, there is a gasket and seal for that. Make sure you replace them.
