No fuel from injectors - '92 olds Cutlass Ciera

I have an 92 olds cutlass ciera 3.3. It runs for a while, and then shuts down and won't start up for 2 hours. Plenty of fuel pressure(35-40) plenty of spark, but I removed the fuel injectors(cpi-6 injectors) and left them on the fuel rail and tried starting up the car, but no fuel came out. I sprayed starting fluid and it started up fine, but died after I stopped spraying. What controls the injectors? I would think the crankshaft position sensor, but that also controls the ignition.

Try the computer if it doesn't see an ignition reference signal it will not energize the injector/s.

Might want to investigate the fuel pump /oil pressure sending unit..When key is in On the fuel pump comes On for 2secs that's it-when it fires up the OSU powers the fuel pump. Refer to diagram below

Have similar problem. 3.3 with fuel injection and 119k starts fine when cold, sounds like it runs slightly rough and than dies either at an idle or while cruising on highway after it runs for a while and warms up. Fuel pump runs for 2 seconds and than shuts off until after ignition and than it continues to run. Good fuel pressure, new fuel filter, new O2 sensor (cleared computer by disconnecting power), injectors appear fine, replaced vacumn lines. Have had suggestion that it could also be the EGR valve or the throttle position sensor. Would a computer test be valid while it is runnig or would the car have to quit while it is attached?
