I have 1996 olds cutlas 66K milage. My left directional does not blink. WHen you try to use it the light stays on solid. The lights get brighter but they don't flash. The right side works fine and so do the emergency flashers. Any ideas. Is there a flasher fuse for each side or only one for both sides?

Hi Frank,
I had this identical problem w/ my 92 Cutlass about a year ago (even after replacing the bulbs). Before you invest in a new switch, you may want to try taking out the hazard flasher unit from your "convenience center" under the passenger dash and putting it in place of your indicator flasher under the driver dash. Now test the blinker. This fixed my problem. Went to the parts shop, bought a new flasher and it's worked ever since.
